5pm Mass, Sat, 2026 August 15
Come celebrate one of the great events in God’s amazing plan for our joy and salvation.
On August 15th, each year, our Church asks us to remember
the awesome power of our Lord’s grace to keep Mary, the mother of our Lord, from sin,
such that she is able to be assumed into Heaven upon her dormition (her falling asleep on earth forever). T
he Blessed Virgin Mary shows us our way when we, like her, have faith in her Son, Jesus Christ.
This year, this feast is not a holy day of obligation.
However, who needs an obligation to want to celebrate wondrous events in our faith.
On Sunday, we will be celebrating the 20th Sunday of Ordinary Time,
as we continue to allow God’s Word and Sacrament to strengthen us in holiness.
